Teachers

Your school can get involved in the Disc Drive by collecting discs with your schoolchildren. Get your school sorted.

There are some great lesson and assembly plans here too, complying with the national curriculum and helping you and the schoolchildren to understand the life of a young carer.

If you would like to collect discs for the Disc Drive then thank you, you’re wonderful.

You can print off posters here, to let everyone know you’re collecting for the Disc Drive.

Get a box to collect discs into and decorate it with these fabulous pictures

Once you’ve collected your discs simply find your nearest drop off point (there are over 2400!) using the postcode search box at the top of this page, and take them along.

We’ll then put your discs to good use, selling them in Barnardo’s stores to raise vital funds for young carers right across the UK.

Schools with more than 80 discs can arrange a DHL collection, at no cost to them. This option is only available to schools – call 08701 100 300 and quote account number 180617678 with account name ‘Barnardo’s’. Then use address Blue Peter Disc Drive, DHL, Kimpton Road, Luton, LU2 0JX when DHL come to collect.

We’ll then put your discs to good use, selling them in Barnardo’s stores to raise vital funds for young carers right across the UK.
